How Does Electrolysis Work?
A very fine filament or probe is inserted into the hair follicle. A small amount of heat or current is applied, to destroy the root of the hair. The skin is not punctured in this process.
Does Electrolysis Hurt?
You will experience a short heat sensation which has been described as similar to the discomfort of tweezing. The sensation varies depending on each individuals level of sensitivity and the area treated. For those with a higher level of sensitivity we offer a topical anesthetic.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Several treatments are required to achieve permanency. Many factors contribute to the number of treatments needed. The amount of hair, the condition of the hair root, the individuals hair growth cycle and where the hair is located, are a few contributing factors.
